So Valentine's Day has obviously come and gone - by far by busiest holiday to date - but I'm JUST getting around to posting pics to the blog! Facebook just makes it so easy!! Here are some more cookie designs from VDay! The weekend before Valentines Day is a blur and I sent many orders out the door w/o taking pics. Thanks to the Kellys Kids warehouse sale, I got a late start on my orders and pulled my SECOND all-nighter - worked from 4PM on Saturday until about 7:30 the next Sunday night...a labor of love, though!!

I find myself getting stuck in a "rut" doing the same cookies over and over again when it comes to holidays. I've been trying to think of new ideas for Valentines Day other than your typical heart cookie (which are still precious!). Any suggestions/ requests are welcome! I'm doing a Valentine Dino this week...pics to come!!

I did my first "corporate" order this weekend! The Baton Rouge General Foundation sponsors an annual Father/Daughter Sweetheart Dance and Silly Gilly cookies were part of the celebration this year! I have to admit...I've done a lot of cookies over the last 4 months, but NEVER this many in one sitting! Thanks to mom and Stuart (who has self-proclaimed himself "junior baker" - a promotion from sous chef) for helping with both keeping the girls out of the kitchen and with bagging all those cookies!!! Couldn't have done it without ya'll! and thanks to Jenny at BRGF for supporting Silly Gilly Desserts!!
